Many Marvel Rivals players are experiencing extended shader compilation times on launch. This guide offers a solution to expedite this process.

Game launches, particularly online titles, often involve various processes. However, Marvel Rivals PC players are encountering significant delays due to lengthy shader compilation. Shaders are crucial programs managing aspects like color and lighting in 3D environments. Incorrect shader installation can lead to various issues. While the problem isn't due to user error, a community-sourced workaround exists.

A Marvel Rivals subreddit user, Recent-Smile-4946, provided a solution addressing the prolonged compilation times. The steps are as follows:

  1. Access your Nvidia Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to the global settings.
  3. Adjust the Shader Cache Size to a value less than or equal to your VRAM. Note: Options are limited to 5GB, 10GB, and 100GB; select the closest value to your VRAM.

This method reportedly reduces shader compilation time to seconds and resolves "Out of VRAM memory" errors.

While a permanent fix from NetEase is awaited, this workaround offers a significant improvement for players experiencing this issue. Until an official patch is released, this solution is recommended to avoid extended loading times.

Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
