Cyberpunk 2077 got patch 2.21, added NVIDIA DLSS 4 and got even more technologically advanced

CD Projekt RED has released a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing with it not only bug fixes but also the integration of cutting-edge NVIDIA technology.

GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card users will experience a significant performance boost thanks to the addition of DLSS 4 support, generating extra frames for smoother gameplay. This feature will be available starting January 30th. DLSS 4 also enhances frame generation speed on both RTX 50 and 40 series cards, while simultaneously reducing memory consumption.

All GeForce RTX graphics cards now offer a choice between the convolutional neural network model and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model delivers superior lighting, enhanced detail, and more stable visuals.

This update also addresses several issues: in-game screen interference and crashes associated with DLSS ray reconstruction have been resolved, and the "Frame Creation" parameter now accurately reflects changes after resolution scaling is disabled.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.21 Patch Notes:

  • Resolved an issue preventing interaction with certain vendors.
  • Fixed a bug causing missing or muted audio in TV news broadcasts.
  • Addressed a bug resulting in infrequent appearances of Johnny in the passenger seat.
  • Corrected a bug where items disappeared when hiding nearby characters.
  • Fixed a game freeze that occurred when simultaneously entering photo mode and accessing a closet or stash.
  • Photo Mode now allows placement of Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame, even when Vee is in the air or water.
  • Improvements made to the feature controlling Adam Smasher's facial expressions.
