No Battle Pass, Meaningful Progression
Launching on August 23rd for PS5 and PC, Concord prioritizes rewarding gameplay from day one. Unlike many hero shooters, Concord eschews a traditional Battle Pass, focusing instead on rewarding players through account and character leveling, and job completion. Rewards are meaningful and directly tied to gameplay.
Season 1: The Tempest (October 2024)
Season 1, "The Tempest," arrives in October, bringing:
- A new playable Freegunner.
- A brand-new map.
- Additional Freegunner Variants.
- New cosmetics and rewards.
- Weekly Cinematic Vignettes expanding the Northstar crew storyline.
- An in-game store offering purely cosmetic items with no gameplay impact.
Season 2 and Beyond (January 2025)
Season 2 is planned for January 2025, with Firewalk Studios committed to regular seasonal updates throughout Concord's first year.
Gameplay Strategies: Crew Builder and Roles
Concord's "Crew Builder" system allows for team customization with five unique Freegunners, allowing up to three copies of any Variant. This encourages diverse team compositions for strategic advantages.
Instead of traditional Tank/Support roles, each Freegunner delivers high DPS. Six roles – Anchor, Breacher, Haunt, Ranger, Tactician, and Warden – offer unique battlefield impacts, such as area control, long-range advantage, and flanking. Balancing roles unlocks Crew Bonuses, boosting mobility, recoil, cooldowns, and more.
