FF7 Rebirth PC Features Unveiled by Square Enix

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Version: Enhanced Visuals and Features Confirmed

A new trailer showcases the extensive features coming to the PC port of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, launching January 23, 2025. Following its successful PS5 debut in February 2024, the highly anticipated PC release promises significant graphical upgrades and enhanced control options.

The PC version will support resolutions up to 4K and frame rates of 120fps, boasting improved lighting and enhanced visuals compared to the console release. While specifics on these visual enhancements remain undisclosed, players can expect a noticeable difference. Three graphical presets (Low, Medium, High) will allow customization based on individual hardware, further aided by an adjustable NPC count setting to optimize CPU performance.

Beyond visual fidelity, the PC port offers comprehensive control options:

Key PC Features:

  • Mouse and keyboard support
  • DualSense controller support (with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers)
  • Up to 4K resolution and 120fps
  • Improved lighting and enhanced visuals
  • Three adjustable graphical presets (High, Medium, Low) with customizable NPC count
  • Nvidia DLSS support

Notably, while Nvidia DLSS is included, AMD FSR support is absent, potentially impacting performance for AMD GPU users.

Square Enix's decision to release the PC version nearly a year after the PS5 launch follows significant player demand. The robust feature set promises a compelling PC experience, though the game's commercial success on this platform remains to be seen, given its somewhat slower-than-expected PS5 sales.
