Call of Duty: Black Ops Update Coming Soon

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th

Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The game, a massive success at launch with record-breaking player numbers in its first month, has seen a recent dip in players. This decline is largely attributed to ongoing issues with cheating in Ranked Play and persistent server problems. The community hopes the new season's content and improvements will revitalize the game.

Season 2 Launch Confirmed

The Season 2 launch date was confirmed in a recent update addressing Zombies mode issues. Treyarch mentioned fixes delayed until the next season, subsequently revealing the January 28th release. A detailed blog post unveiling the full Season 2 content is expected soon.

Season 1 delivered a wealth of new content, including multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events. Warzone players also experienced significant changes with the Black Ops 6 integration, introducing a new movement system, weapons, gameplay updates, and the Area-99 Resurgence map.

The nostalgic return of fan-favorite maps like Nuketown and Hacienda from Black Ops 4 was a highlight. While unconfirmed, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters for Season 2. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from potential remastering, although original maps remain a priority.
