Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market, offering diverse missions and modes with a tactical gameplay focus.
The Delta Force franchise, a cornerstone of FPS gaming predating Call of Duty, is known for its realistic combat, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry. Level Infinite's revival retains this legacy, incorporating a Battlefield-style "Warfare" mode for large-scale combat and an "Operations" mode focused on extraction gameplay. A single-player campaign, inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu and the film Black Hawk Down, is also planned for 2025.
Addressing Cheating Concerns
Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced criticism regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's approach, while ambitious, has drawn negative feedback for its aggressive tactics. While their G.T.I. Security team is dedicated to combating cheating, the PC version's restrictions on software and hardware have been met with resistance.
Although mobile platforms generally present less of a cheating problem, this controversy might still impact Delta Force's reception. However, the lower likelihood of cheating on mobile could allow the game to meet player expectations.
