The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, aptly named Shining Revelry, has brought a dazzling array of over 110 new cards to the game, including shiny variants that are making collectors and players alike excited. With cards from the Paldea region also joining the mix, the expansion adds a fresh layer of excitement to the game. As a player, I couldn't resist spending some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull, and to my delight, I managed to snag a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less impressive. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady was a comforting addition, especially for her ability to heal Special Conditions, a crucial asset when dealing with pesky status effects like Burn.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event where players can earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. The highlight of this update, however, is the introduction of Ranked Matches. These competitive battles allow you to challenge other Trainers and climb the ranks from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be reflected in points and you'll be awarded a prestigious emblem at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month. It's time to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some powerful decks to take on the competition.
