Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

by Natalie Apr 21,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an unbeatable deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99 shipped. This is a standout price for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially when compared to other brands that have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. Attempting to source a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build could cost you as much as this entire prebuilt system.

Update: Like many other companies, Dell has been impacted by tariffs. With the ongoing stock shortages of the Blackwell cards, prices for Alienware gaming desktops featuring RTX 50 series GPUs are anticipated to rise soon.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, boasting 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards currently on the market, yet finding them remains a challenge. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be a compelling upgrade – it doesn't significantly outpace the RTX 4080, though the enhanced frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do improve gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers upgrading from older GPUs seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is an excellent choice, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial batch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to hit the market, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs are also in short supply, either out of stock, pricier, or facing extended delivery times.
