Pokémon GO Unveils New Unova Tour Pass
Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! A new Tour Pass, available from February 24th to March 9th, offers exciting rewards and progression milestones. This pass complements the upcoming Unova-themed event, featuring Gen 5 Pokémon encounters, raids, and egg hatches.
The annual Pokémon GO Tour celebrates a different region each year, culminating around Pokémon Day. Previous Tours highlighted Kanto and Sinnoh, introducing shiny Pokémon and unique variant forms.
This year's Unova Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM local time, offers a free and a deluxe version. Players earn Tour Points by completing daily tasks, catching Pokémon, participating in raids, and hatching eggs. These points unlock rewards, including candy, stickers, and a culminating encounter with a special Zorua. All rewards expire on March 9th at 6 PM.
Pokémon GO's New Pass: A Deluxe Option
A deluxe Tour Pass, priced at $14.99 (or $19.99 for a version with 10 pre-unlocked ranks), is available on the Pokémon GO in-app store during the same period. This version unlocks all free and paid rewards, plus an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini and a new Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting their Lucky Friend status afterward. Deluxe Pass rewards, including the Lucky Trinket, also expire on March 9th at 6 PM.
The Unova Tour Pass adds extra excitement to the upcoming event, which includes the debut of Kyurem (Black and White forms) via fusion and shiny Meloetta via a ticketed Masterwork Research.
