Valheim's Wandering Merchants: Locations and Inventory Guide

Valheim's challenge lies in exploring diverse biomes and gathering resources to defeat formidable bosses. The journey is made easier by the game's three merchants, each offering unique and helpful items. However, their locations are procedurally generated, making them tricky to find. This guide reveals their whereabouts and inventories.

Locating Valheim's Merchants

Finding merchants requires exploration or utilizing the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint their coordinates based on your world seed. Once located, they remain in the same spot. Building a portal near each is highly recommended for easy access.

Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, typically the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of your world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, often near The Elder's spawn point (located near glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). Gold is the currency; acquire it by exploring dungeons and selling gems.

Haldor's Inventory:

Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center). Look for a T-shirt icon on the map when you are within 300-400m. She offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and quests rewarding access to expanded inventory. These quests involve locating her lost chests in various biomes:

  • Smouldering Tombs (Black Forest)
  • Howling Caverns (Mountains)
  • Sealed Towers (Plains)
