Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Event Brings Black and White Kyurem
Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, taking place March 1st and 2nd.
These highly anticipated legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, with a chance to encounter their shiny forms. The event also features special in-game backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.
The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-held wish for many fans. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official debut within a themed event is a significant addition to the Pokémon GO experience. The Unova region focus of the GO Tour makes their appearance perfectly fitting.
Fusion and New Attacks:
Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion event, trainers can fuse Kyurem with other legendary Pokémon:
- Black Kyurem: Fuse with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. The resulting Pokémon will know the attack Freeze Shock.
- White Kyurem: Fuse with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. This fusion learns the attack Ice Burn.
Fusion is reversible at no cost. Fusion energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.
Event Exclusive Backgrounds:
Complete the fusion process with either Black or White Kyurem to unlock unique backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both fusions grants access to a third, even more exclusive background.
