A new Sims game is in the works, and it's already available for playtesting in Australia! While not the fully-fledged Sims 5 we've all been anticipating, The Sims Labs: Town Stories offers a sneak peek at potential future features. This mobile simulation game, part of EA's broader Sims Labs initiative, serves as a testing ground for new gameplay mechanics and ideas.
Currently in its playtest phase, Town Stories blends classic Sims building with character-driven narratives. Players construct neighbourhoods, guide residents through personal storylines, manage careers, and uncover town secrets.

Initial reactions from gamers have been mixed, with some expressing concerns about graphics and the potential for microtransactions. However, given its experimental nature, the game's current state may not reflect its final form.
