Starting the Lion's Crest
Upon completing the tutorial and gaining access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the materials independently, crafting the weapon at a blacksmith's forge.
Solving the Riddle
The riddle reads:
"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."
The solution involves exiting Trosky Castle through the northern gates, heading north through the forest, and locating a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the chapel to find the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.
Treasure Map Locations
The maps lead to the remaining armor pieces:
Map 1: Follow the road west from the chapel to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den; the armor is in a bag near the trees above the den.
Map 2: Travel to Vidlak Pond's outpost. Behind the fisherman's house, locate a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing armor is near a cross atop the rocks.
Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Exit the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. Take a small path leading to the river and forest after the second bridge. Follow this path to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the hilltop.
Map 4: The final map directs you to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Find rocks with a cross; the final armor piece is there.
