A new trailer for the highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth has surfaced online, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into what promises to be a thrilling addition to the iconic franchise. The trailer, first showcased at Disney's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders and shared by @CineGeekNews on X/Twitter, immerses viewers in a tense scenario where the survivors of a Xenomorph-ravaged spaceship are hurtling towards Earth.

The trailer, embedded below, showcases the new Xenomorph design and highlights the series' striking visual homage to Ridley Scott's seminal 1979 horror masterpiece. The setting inside a MU/TH/UR control room mirrors the Nostromo's, where Ripley famously uncovered the chilling truth about her crew's fate.

In the trailer, a frantic crew member desperately seeks help as the Xenomorph closes in. Meanwhile, Morrow, portrayed by Babou Ceesay, coldly reports that the "specimens are loose," declares the crew dead, and ominously sets the ship's trajectory towards Earth. The scene shifts to six soldiers cautiously approaching what appears to be the crashed vessel, hinting at the grim fate that awaits them.

This glimpse into Alien: Earth raises numerous intriguing questions: Will Morrow survive? What drives his actions? Are there any other survivors, and could some be carrying Xenomorph embryos? How will the soldiers meet their end?

Alien: Earth is poised to explore a compelling narrative where a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth. The story follows a young woman, played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of tactical soldiers as they uncover a discovery that pits them against Earth's ultimate threat.

Set in the year 2120, Alien: Earth fits snugly into the Alien timeline, occurring after Prometheus and just before the events of the original Alien film. This positioning has sparked fan theories suggesting the series might show the Nostromo's departure from Earth or reveal how Weyland-Yutani learned about the Xenomorphs. For context, the recently released Alien: Romulus serves as an interquel between Alien and Aliens.

Last year, showrunner Noah Hawley provided insight into his creative decisions for Alien: Earth. He opted not to use the backstory from Prometheus, favoring the "retro-futurism" of the original films. Despite discussions with Ridley Scott about the series' connection to the prequels, Hawley chose to diverge from the bioweapon narrative, preferring to align more closely with the lore established in the earlier movies.

Alien: Earth is set to premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025, and fans can also look forward to the upcoming Alien: Romulus 2.
