Following the intense Fire Canyon level, Precursor Basin offers a seemingly less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, vehicle-based experience in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This guide will help you conquer Precursor Basin's tricky objectives and earn every Trophy.
Herd the Moles
Begin by herding four blind moles back to their holes using the Zoomer. Use the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns to keep up with them. Reward: A Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village.
Catch the Flying Lurkers
Chase and ram into the Flying Lurkers in the same area. These require skillful maneuvering to intercept their flight paths. The final Lurker drops a Power Cell.
Beat the Gorge Record Time (45 seconds)
This short race near Precursor Basin's entrance requires precision and speed. Utilize Lurkers for extra jumps and strategically collect Blue Eco for speed boosts. Avoid Dark Eco Crates. A sharp 180-degree turn is needed near the pit. A faster time (under 40 seconds) earns a trophy. Reward: A Power Cell from the Gambler.
Get the Power Cell Over the Lake
Starting from the slope (familiar from the Lurker chase), carefully navigate narrow bridges and gaps using the Zoomer's hop. A series of jumps across islands leads to the Power Cell.
Cure the Dark Eco Infected Plants
Charge with Green Eco and drive through the purple plants to cure them before they regrow. Use the hop for sharp turns and the Green Eco Vent to replenish your supply. Reward: A Power Cell.
Navigate the Purple Precursor Rings
This ring challenge requires speed and precision. Note the tricky aerial ring off the natural bridge and the final ring near a hole in the raised track. Reward: A Power Cell.
Navigate the Blue Precursor Rings
The blue rings are significantly harder. Pay attention to the pillar near the lake, requiring a precise hop for the aerial ring. The tricky hop off the hill after the Zoomer Trans-pad and the series of turns after crossing the lake are critical.
The final ring hangs over the edge of a slope. Reward: A Power Cell.
Free the 7 Scout Flies
Collect all seven Scout Flies scattered throughout the area. Locations include near the Mole Hole, atop the slope, across the narrow bridge, on and under the raised area, after hopping across the three islands, and near the first blue ring. Reward: A Power Cell.
