Damasi Rules
- The game is played on an 8×8 board with 16 pieces (men) on each side, arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.
- Men can move forward or sideways one square at a time and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece. Men cannot move backward. When a man reaches the back row, it is promoted to a king, which can move any number of squares forward, backward, or sideways, capturing by jumping over pieces and landing on any square beyond the captured piece.
- Captured pieces are removed immediately after being jumped. If a jump is possible, it must be taken. When multiple jumps are available, the player must choose the sequence that captures the most pieces. There is no distinction between kings and men during capture; each counts as one piece. If multiple sequences capture the same number of pieces, the player may choose which to take.
- The game ends when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked, resulting in a win for the opponent.
- Unlike other draughts variants, pieces can cross the same square more than once in a single capturing sequence since captured pieces are removed immediately.
- Within a multi-capture, turning 180 degrees between two captures is not permitted.
Thank you for choosing the Damasi game! Enjoy the strategic challenge and fun it brings.
