How to Play Callbreak:
Callbreak is typically played by four players using a standard 52-card deck. Cards rank from highest to lowest as follows: A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2 within each suit. The game consists of either 3 or 5 rounds. To start, players draw cards to determine the first dealer, who is the one with the lowest card. The dealer then shuffles and deals the cards clockwise, with the player to the dealer's right leading the first trick.
Any card can be led, and the other players must follow suit if possible. If unable to follow suit, a player must play a spade (the trump suit), provided it's high enough to beat any spades already played. Our offline version of Callbreak includes a special "Novo Saga" feature, allowing players to embark on an epic journey through different levels and record their legendary Callbreak adventures.
How to Win at Callbreak:
The trick in Callbreak is won by the player who plays the highest card of the suit led, or the highest spade if any spades are played. To win, a player must meet or exceed the number of tricks they called at the start of the round. If successful, the called number is added to their score, with any tricks won beyond the call adding an additional 0.1 points each. Failure to meet the called number results in the called number being subtracted from the score.
A round must be re-dealt if a player receives no spades or no face cards (J, Q, K, A) across any suit.
