Universe for Sale Is a New Visual Novel Set in a Bizarre Bazaar on Planet Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure, Universe for Sale, is now available! Akupara Games, known for titles like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti, delivers another intriguing experience.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

Set on a Jupiter space station, this bizarre bazaar is shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans outsmarting humans, and cultists bartering flesh for enlightenment – it's a truly unique setting. The universe itself is up for grabs, thanks to Lila, a woman with the uncanny ability to create universes from her very hand.

The game begins in a mining colony's shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring this ramshackle colony, filled with quirky shops, you'll eventually discover Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop, and the mystery surrounding her. The narrative unfolds through alternating perspectives between Lila and the Master.

As Lila, you'll create universes in a captivating mini-game, mixing and matching ingredients to generate mesmerizing visuals. The Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.

The story gradually unravels, prompting players to theorize about the overarching narrative. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique tale, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
