Nightdive Studios has announced that the eagerly anticipated System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will launch on June 26, 2025. This modernized version of the iconic 1999 sci-fi horror action role-playing game will be available not only on PC but also, for the first time, on consoles. Gamers can look forward to playing on Windows PC through platforms like Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Bundle Store, as well as on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
The remaster has been meticulously rebuilt using Nightdive Studios' proprietary KEX Engine, ensuring a seamless experience across modern platforms. Players can expect enhanced visuals, improved gameplay mechanics, better performance, and the addition of cross-play co-op multiplayer along with robust mod support.

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, the notorious SHODAN and her army of ruthless mutants have taken over the starship Von Braun. Players assume the role of a soldier who awakens from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants. As he explores the derelict starship to uncover its terrifying secrets, he must enhance his skills and wield powerful weapons and psionic abilities to combat SHODAN's monstrous creations and survive her narcissistic god complex.
