In *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*, the variety of weapons available caters to every player's preferred playstyle. Among these, you'll find unique (named) variants with special modifications or enhanced power, and the Cavalier is a standout example. This special sniper rifle is equipped with a red-dot sight instead of a traditional magnification scope, making it exceptionally effective at short to medium ranges. Let's explore how you can acquire this distinctive weapon.
How to Get the Unique Cavalier Rifle in Stalker 2
To obtain the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, head to the Military Unit within the Duga base in *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*. The rifle is located inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously visited the Duga base to access the Journalist stash, you'll find it easy to enter through the second entrance.
Getting Inside the Warehouse Near the Military Unit of Duga Base
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit building, which is marked on your map. You don't need to enter the building itself; instead, proceed around it to reach the greenhouse at the back. Be vigilant, as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack on sight. Approach the greenhouse cautiously to avoid a confrontation with these formidable mutants.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself in the warehouse. Be prepared for multiple swarms of rats that will immediately start to drain your health. To escape the rats, climb onto the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. Use a grenade to eliminate the rat swarms effectively.
Break the Wooden Boards & Grab the Cavalier Rifle
After dealing with the rats, look up towards the ceiling above the entryway connecting to the greenhouse. You'll notice wooden boards painted yellow. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to drop from above.
Secure the weapon and make a safe exit from the Duga base. You can then take the Cavalier to Screw, the technician at Rostok base, for upgrades. With its maximum damage and excellent accuracy, the Cavalier can be further enhanced with upgrades and mods. For players who prefer not to use a scope on their sniper rifles, the Cavalier, with its red-dot sight, is an ideal choice for close to medium-range engagements.
