Pokémon Legends: Z-A Release Window Emerges on Web

Potential Release Date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A Leaks Online

A potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, hinting at an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially announced during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to the 2022 title, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. While the game's exploration-focused gameplay, deviating from traditional gym battles and Pokémon League elements, was highlighted in the initial announcement, substantial details remain scarce.

The Amazon UK listing, observed by content creator Light88, briefly displayed the August 15th date before reverting to a December 31st placeholder. This leak, while unconfirmed, adds fuel to speculation surrounding the game's imminent release.

February 2025 Pokémon Day: A Potential Confirmation?

The official release date could be revealed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, scheduled for February 27th, mirroring the announcement of the game itself during the 2024 event. This date aligns with the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green. Recent findings from a Pokémon GO data miner further support the February 27th date for the 2025 Pokémon Day celebration.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, which could also debut during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for release on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, benefiting from the latter's backward compatibility. While the precedent of paid DLC exists for mainline Pokémon games, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received a single free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
