Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further event specifics will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated!
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person attendees will experience unique city-specific features and activities. Ticket purchase is required for both in-person and online participation.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters unavailable through standard gameplay – think along the lines of the 2024 event's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates, varying by location.
In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed goodies, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers. While specifics are still under wraps, expect a similar experience to previous years.
Two More Pokémon GO Events in January
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest 2025, Niantic announced two exciting January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni! Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionable Croagunk in snapshots!

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh:
Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh! A $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased encounter rates, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
