Pokemon GO Fashion Week: Remote Raid Passes in Shadow Raids!
This January, Pokémon GO players get a special treat during Fashion Week: Taken Over! For the first time, remote raid passes will be usable in Shadow Raids. This limited-time opportunity allows trainers to catch Pokémon with potentially higher IV stats from the comfort of their homes.
Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, have proven popular, but previously required in-person participation. This change addresses player requests for remote raid pass functionality in these challenging battles.
Event Details:
The Fashion Week: Taken Over event runs from January 15th, 12:00 a.m. to January 19th, 8:00 p.m. local time. During this period, one-star, three-star, and five-star Shadow Raids are accessible both in-person and remotely.
Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day:
A special Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day is scheduled for January 19th, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This offers increased chances of catching a shiny Shadow Ho-Oh and the ability to teach it the Sacred Fire charged attack. Additionally, Charged TMs can be used to remove the Frustration move from Shadow Pokémon.
Important Note:
The use of remote raid passes in Shadow Raids is exclusively for the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. This functionality will be removed after the event concludes. Whether this becomes a permanent feature remains to be seen, though it addresses previous player concerns regarding accessibility in challenging raids.
