by Allison Apr 27,2025

Sony has exciting news for gamers: a PlayStation State of Play stream is scheduled for tomorrow, February 12, at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK. This eagerly anticipated broadcast will last over 40 minutes and will be available in both English and Japanese through the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.

Although the specifics of the featured games remain under wraps, the PlayStation Blog has teased that the event will showcase "a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world." Fans are particularly hopeful for an in-depth look at Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima 2, as well as a release date announcement for Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Given recent leaks on the PlayStation Store, there’s a strong possibility we’ll see the official reveal of the release date trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It's an event not to be missed for fans of the iconic series.

While it might be premature to expect updates on Insomniac’s Wolverine or Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, there are still plenty of other titles to look forward to. Phantom: Blade Zero, an action role-playing game from the Chinese studio S-Game, promises thrilling sword combat, and we're eager to learn its release date. Additionally, Bungie’s Marathon and Haven’s Fairgames are multiplayer shooters that have garnered significant interest, especially in light of Sony's recent handling of the Concord situation.

Coincidentally, March marks the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne. Could Sony surprise us with a special announcement or perhaps a remaster? The speculation is rife.

We’re also keeping our fingers crossed for one or two brand-new surprises and game reveals. With ongoing rumors, could this be the day Halo finally makes its debut on PlayStation consoles?
