Its spawn locations are not fixed and change with each visit, making Filler Metal one of the rarest drops you'll encounter. After progressing through the main storyline, you can unlock the Factory: Hanger access point, which serves as an optimal starting location for your search, being conveniently situated within the Factory.

While speed boosts can facilitate your search, farming Filler Metal remains unpredictable throughout the game. The only vendor selling Filler Metal is the Shopkeeper Machine located in the Amusement Park, and this option becomes available only after achieving one of the game's final endings. Once you've beaten the game, you can revisit the Shopkeeper using Chapter Select to access its updated inventory, where Filler Metal is available for 11,250 G each.
Although the price may seem high, buying Filler Metal is far more reliable than repeatedly navigating the Factory. This method is particularly crucial for upgrading your Pod, which is essential for tackling the game's toughest enemies as you approach the maximum level.
