NieR: Automata's opening introduces 2B's mission. After landing and engaging in melee combat, you'll acquire a one-handed and a powerful two-handed sword, the Virtuous Treaty. This weapon is temporarily lost after the prologue, but readily reacquired once free-roaming is unlocked in the next chapter.
Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata
This early-game weapon is located near your initial spawn point after exiting the bunker. Upon landing in the city ruins, descend to the lower area. To the left, you'll see a highway above the nearest access point. Proceed towards the highway, climbing the ruins to reach the main road. This path leads back towards the factory.
Descend into the factory and follow the grassy path to the main structure. An access point and stairs to an upper area are situated on the left. On the left side of this upper area, near the destroyed bridge where you fought the Goliath, you'll find the Virtuous Treaty embedded in the ground.
Your discarded equipment from the prologue, containing consumables, is also nearby to the right of the sword.
Virtuous Treaty Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack Power: 300-330
- Combo: Light 2, Heavy 2
Typical of two-handed weapons, the Virtuous Treaty excels at wide, high-damage attacks affecting multiple enemies. However, its attack speed is slow. Upgrades can potentially make this one of the game's highest-damage weapons, provided you adapt to its slower pace. Combining it with a faster weapon via a heavy attack during a combo mitigates the slow speed while still leveraging its significant damage output. While this won't allow a full combo with the Virtuous Treaty, the added heavy attack significantly boosts damage within the faster weapon's combo.
