Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusive to mainland China. While international players won't have direct access, they can still follow the game's progress.

Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, adding depth to the previously revealed world of Hetherau and its city, Eibon (see trailer below). The narrative leans towards a more comedic tone, showcasing a unique blend of the bizarre and the ordinary.

Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive market. Neverness to Everness, while fitting the current trend of urban-focused 3D RPGs, aims to differentiate itself with unique features.

A standout feature is open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize a variety of vehicles, experiencing realistic consequences for reckless driving. The game faces strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both setting high benchmarks in the mobile 3D open-world RPG genre.
