NetherRealm Studios unleashes T-1000 and Madam Bo in Mortal Kombat 1 DLC.
A new gameplay trailer showcases the T-1000, featuring the voice and likeness of Robert Patrick, reprising his iconic role from Terminator 2. His moveset draws inspiration from the film, incorporating liquid metal transformations and brutal attacks reminiscent of other MK characters like Baraka and Kabal. The trailer culminates in a spectacular Fatality echoing the thrilling truck chase scene from the movie.
Surprisingly, NetherRealm also announced Madam Bo, a fan-favorite character from the main storyline, as a new Kameo fighter. Brief glimpses in the trailer show her assisting the T-1000 in combat.
The T-1000 becomes available March 18th for early access (Khaos Reigns owners), with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo launches March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a separate purchase.
The T-1000 concludes the Khaos Reigns DLC character roster, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian. Speculation about a potential third Kombat Pack remains, fueled by Warner Bros. Discovery's continued investment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and Ed Boon's assurance of long-term support for Mortal Kombat 1.
While NetherRealm's next project remains unannounced, the possibility of a third Injustice game is strong, with Ed Boon confirming that the franchise isn't closed. The studio's decision to prioritize another Mortal Kombat title over Injustice was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to Unreal Engine 4.
