Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover as the iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a new skin. PlayStation shared the exciting news on a post on X/Twitter, offering a sneak peek at how NetEase Games has reimagined this classic video game outfit for its new hero shooter.
This sleek Spider-Man suit first debuted as an original design in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man and has since featured in all three entries of the series. The distinctive white spider symbol is what sets this suit apart, making its appearance in Marvel Rivals a surprising yet delightful collaboration with Sony's console-exclusive superhero game. Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 will be available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC.
Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has offered a plethora of unlockable suits, but the addition of this Spidey suit stands out due to its ties to the immensely popular PlayStation series. Fans will be thrilled to know that Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Peter Parker in all three of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, will also lend his voice to Marvel Rivals’ version of the character. Players picking up the costume on January 30 will feel right at home as they swing into action.
NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting layer to the content released with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch set to join soon. According to creative director Guangyun Chen, fans can expect at least one new hero every month and a half.
