The game was temporarily taken offline due to the TikTok ban affecting its publisher, ByteDance. However, it seems that Second Dinner was not informed about the sudden decision to halt service, which included a stark warning message stating that the app had been "banned."
As Second Dinner continues to manage the fallout and respond to player grievances, they have also announced their intention to seek a new publisher. This development marks a significant setback for Nuverse, a ByteDance subsidiary that has been at the helm of publishing this top-performing title since its well-received launch in 2022, featuring beloved Marvel comic heroes in fast-paced card battles.
