Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global has officially ended its run on January 30th, marking the end of a 3.5-year journey. While the Japanese version enjoyed a longer lifespan of 5 years, the global servers have now shut down.
A Decent Run for a Gacha Game
Developed by Sumzap, published initially by Nexon and later by Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global provided a respectable run for an anime-based gacha title. Despite declining revenue in recent times, the developers maintained active updates until the very end, including new voiced story content and a final song release just three weeks prior to closure.
A farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor, further highlighted the developers' commitment to the game's community. The Japanese version even went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the adventures of Kazuma and his crew indefinitely.
Global Players Miss Out on Offline Access
Unfortunately, the global version lacks an offline mode or a dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the KonoSuba experience.
With the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global servers now offline, we shift our focus to upcoming Pokémon Go news. Stay tuned for our next article covering Karrablast and Shelmet in February's Community Day!
