Kamitsubaki City Ensemble: A Post-Apocalyptic Rhythm Game Set to Launch
Studio Lalala's upcoming rhythm game, Kamitsubaki City Ensemble, is poised for release on August 29th, 2024. Available on Android, iOS, PC, Switch, and other consoles for a budget-friendly $3 (440 Yen), this title promises a unique blend of rhythm gameplay and post-apocalyptic storytelling.
A World Rebuilt Through Melody
The game unfolds in a world ravaged by destruction, where AI girls, survivors of the apocalypse, embark on a mission to restore the world through the power of music. The narrative gradually unveils the mysteries surrounding the cataclysm and the AI girls' existence as players progress. Players will help these girls rebuild their world, one musical note at a time.
Gameplay and Features
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble features five AI girls and five witches, each contributing to the vibrant rhythm experience. The gameplay involves hitting rhythm buttons in sync with the music and the characters' dance routines. Four difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard, and pro) cater to players of all skill levels, starting with four lanes and scaling up to seven for a challenging experience.
The core game boasts 48 songs, with a season pass offering continuous updates with new tracks. The soundtrack is packed with hit songs from Kamitsubaki Studio and the Musical Isotope series, including fan favorites like "Devour the Past," "Carnivorous Plant," "Sirius's Heart," and "Terra."
