Here, you'll encounter a woman discussing a game that involves hunting down origami butterflies, which you may also encounter while exploring the city. As you collect these large paper butterflies, often pinned to tree trunks with real butterflies fluttering around them, you'll uncover sinister notes. It becomes clear that the Butterfly Collector is far from a harmless group; it's a secret society of women intent on kidnapping children from affluent families to gain power and influence.
Such actions cannot be allowed to continue, and you must track down these individuals. The faction consists of five members, each of whom you'll need to locate and confront within the game.
How and Where To Find All Butterfly Collector Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Shucho
Shucho's carelessness leads you to her. She has lost a kidnapped child in the Fishermen’s District, located at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Dressed in green, you'll find her frantically searching at an intersection. Confront her with either Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s brute force, and then rescue the child hiding nearby behind some horses.
Mucho
From Shucho's location, head northwest across the bridge to the Kojo ruins. Mucho, posing as a family servant, is struggling with her current target on the road just south of the ruins. Use the child’s resistance to your advantage, and after Mucho attacks, neutralize her. Escort the child back to her mother, and move on to the next target.
Richo
Richo, a young member of the group, disguises herself as someone of higher status while using language typical of the city's common folk. Rumors of a suspicious woman entering and exiting a bamboo grove lead you to her. Head to Noda Village, just across the water at the northern end of Osaka, and enter the bamboo grove. There, you'll find Richo in pink. Take her down either stealthily or through direct combat, and rescue the child she's holding.
Kacho
After dealing with the previous three, you'll confront Kacho, the leader who instilled fear and maintained control over her followers. She's located just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted area. Approach cautiously; the presence of many butterflies signals you're close. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a fatal confrontation. Kacho's death will leave one final member to address.
Gamemaker
The Gamemaker initiated your quest with the butterfly collecting game. Return to her marked location on the map to make a crucial decision. As a former victim, she created the game hoping someone would unravel the mystery and prevent others from suffering her fate. Whether she deserves punishment or a chance to start anew is up to you. Choosing the latter allows her to adopt a new identity and life.
