Developer Hemisphere Games explains in a blog post that initial Android development, aided by Apportable, was hampered when that porting studio closed. This led to Osmos' removal from the store due to incompatibility with modern Android systems (it only ran on now-obsolete 32-bit systems). Now, a completely rebuilt port ensures smooth gameplay.
