Lara Croft, the iconic Tomb Raider, is raiding her way into Naraka: Bladepoint! This fast-paced battle royale game recently unveiled its plans for a massive third-anniversary celebration in August, including a new map and exciting collaborations. One such collaboration brings the legendary archaeologist to the fray.
Since her 1996 debut, Lara Croft has become a video game icon, starring in numerous games, comics, and even an upcoming Netflix animated series. Her dual-wielding prowess and adventurous spirit have made her a globally recognized female protagonist, leading to crossovers in games like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XV.
Now, Lara joins the melee-focused action of Naraka: Bladepoint, where up to 60 players battle for survival. She'll be represented as a skin for the agile assassin Matari, the Silver Crow. While a preview of the skin is yet to be shown, based on previous collaborations, expect a comprehensive cosmetic package, encompassing a new outfit, hairstyle, and various accessories.
2024: A Year of Change for Naraka: Bladepoint
Naraka: Bladepoint's third anniversary is a huge event. In addition to the Tomb Raider crossover, players will get Perdoria, a brand-new map—the first in almost two years—launching July 2nd. Perdoria promises unique challenges, secrets, and gameplay mechanics unlike those found in existing maps. Furthermore, a collaboration with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is planned for later in the year.
While the Tomb Raider crossover is thrilling news, Naraka: Bladepoint will also be ending Xbox One support by the end of August. However, players won't lose their progress or in-game items. All account data will transfer to Xbox Series X/S or the PC version via Xbox.
