Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

by Adam Feb 07,2025

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent version 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), along with enhanced game mechanics, new areas, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi character banner was particularly instrumental in driving this record revenue.

Remarkably, the 1.4 update maintained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update trend. Unlike the usual post-update revenue decline after a week, Zenless Zone Zero sustained daily revenue above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and remained above $500,000 even two weeks later.

While a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
