Mastering Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium: A Comprehensive Progression Guide

New to Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium? Don't worry, this guide will help you navigate the game and quickly unlock its core features. Developed by Mica and Sunborn, this sequel to the popular mobile game can seem daunting at first, but with these strategies, you'll be progressing smoothly.

Table of Contents

  • Rerolling for Optimal Starters
  • Prioritizing the Story Campaign
  • Strategic Summoning
  • Leveling Up and Limit Breaking
  • Maximizing Event Missions
  • Utilizing the Dispatch Room and Affinity System
  • Conquering Boss Fights and Combat Exercises
  • Tackling Hard Mode Campaign Missions

Rerolling for a Strong Start

Free-to-play players should strongly consider rerolling to secure a powerful starting lineup. Aim for Suomi (rate-up banner) and either Qiongjiu or Tololo (standard or beginner's banner). This powerful duo will significantly ease early progression.

Conquering the Story Campaign

Focus on completing story missions as quickly as possible. Ignore side battles initially; your priority is leveling your Commander to 30. Reaching level 30 unlocks crucial features like PvP and Boss Fights, offering substantial rewards.

Summoning Strategies

Save your Collapse Pieces exclusively for rate-up banners. If you missed Suomi, concentrate your resources on her banner. Use standard summon tickets (not Collapse Pieces) on the standard banner to acquire additional SSR characters.

Leveling Up and Limit Breaks

Character levels are tied to your Commander level. After each Commander level increase, train your Dolls and upgrade their weapons in the Fitting Room. At level 20, you'll need Stock Bars (obtained from Supply Missions) to break the level limit. Concentrate on a core team of four, ideally including Suomi, Qiongjiu/Tololo, Sharkry, and Ksenia (replace Ksenia with Tololo if you have her).

Event Missions: A Key Resource Source

Once you hit level 20, tackle event missions. Complete all Normal missions, then prioritize at least one Hard mission daily (three attempts available). These missions yield event currency, which can be exchanged for valuable resources in the event shop, such as summon tickets, Collapse Pieces, SR characters, weapons, and more.

Dispatch Room and Affinity: Idle Resource Generation

Increase Doll affinity in the Dormitory by gifting. Higher affinity unlocks Dispatch missions, providing passive resource acquisition, Wish Coins (for a secondary gacha), and a chance to obtain Perithya. The Dispatch shop also offers summon tickets and other useful items.

Boss Fights and Combat Exercises: Strategic Play

Master Boss Fights (a scoring mode) using a team of Qiongjiu, Suomi, Ksenia, and Sharkry. In Combat Exercise (PvP), set a weak defense to allow others to farm points while you target easier opponents to maximize your own gains. Note that losing in Combat Exercise doesn't penalize you.

Hard Mode Campaign Missions: Advanced Rewards

After completing the Normal mode campaign, tackle Hard mode and side battles for additional Collapse Pieces and summon tickets, though these missions don't provide Commander experience.
