The Game Awards 2024, hosted and produced by games journalist Geoff Keighley, has announced its nominees for 19 competitive categories. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth leads with a total of 7 nominations across different categories, including Game of the Year (GOTY). Other contenders for GOTY 2024 include breakout hit Astro Bot, indie darling Balatro, cultural phenomenon Black Myth: Wukong, the highly-anticipated RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Elden Ring expansion Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree whose nomination caused a divisive effect in the gaming community. Fans can start voting from now until December 11 on The Game Awards’ official website and Discord server.

Voting Period Open Now! Winners to be Revealed on December 12, 2024

The Game Awards 2024 goes live on December 12 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where the winners will be revealed. The event is streamed live via The Game Awards website as well as on social platforms and video networks such as Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and more!
