Brawl Stars, the thrilling multiplayer game developed by Supercell, has once again captured the hearts of players with its latest addition: Buzz Lightyear. As the first limited-time brawler, available only until February 4th, Buzz Lightyear adds an element of urgency and excitement to the game. Players are eager to unlock and master this unique character before he vanishes from the roster.

Buzz Lightyear's standout feature is his ability to switch between three distinct combat styles before entering a match, offering unparalleled versatility. This adaptability makes him a formidable force across various game modes. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to maximize your experience with Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars.

How To Play Buzz Lightyear?

Buzz Lightyear is a limited-time brawler that you can unlock for free from the in-game Shop. Once unlocked, Buzz comes fully powered at Level 11, with his Gadget already available. He doesn't have any Star Power or Gears but comes equipped with the Turbo Boosters Gadget, which enables him to dash forward, either to close the distance with an enemy or to make a quick escape from danger.

Buzz also features a unique Hypercharge called Bravado, which temporarily boosts his stats without providing any passive buffs. Both the Hypercharge and the Gadget are accessible across all three of Buzz Lightyear's combat modes. Below is a detailed breakdown of Buzz Lightyear's modes, including his Attack and Super damage values:

Each of Buzz’s combat modes is straightforward. Laser Mode is perfect for long-range combat, with attacks that cause a burn effect on enemies, dealing damage over time and being tough to counter. Saber Mode is optimized for close-range battles, with attacks similar to Bibi’s and the Tank Trait, allowing Buzz to charge his Super when taking damage. Wing Mode acts as a versatile option, performing best when Buzz is in close proximity to his opponents.

Which Is The Best Game Mode For Buzz Lightyear?

Buzz Lightyear's unique combat modes make him a versatile choice across various game modes in Brawl Stars. For maps with confined spaces, such as Showdown, Gem Grab, and Brawl Ball, Saber Mode is the ideal choice. Its Super enables Buzz to land on a targeted spot, making him especially effective against Throwers. In open maps found in modes like Knockout or Bounty, Laser Mode excels. Its burn-over-time effect allows Buzz to pressure opponents by delaying their healing, particularly if they lack healing abilities. Even with low health, he can push aggressively, securing rounds in Trophy Events or the new Arcade Mode.

Note that Buzz Lightyear is not available in Ranked Mode, so players will need to grind his Mastery in other game modes. As a limited-time brawler, his Mastery cap is set at 16,000 points, making it achievable before he leaves the game. The following table outlines the rewards for each rank in his Mastery track:
