This significant shift in the game's pricing model was detailed in an update on the company's support page. Previously priced at $29.99 for both PS4 and PS5, Foamstars will now be available to download and play without any cost.

In a move to enhance accessibility, Square Enix has also removed the requirement for a PlayStation Plus subscription to enjoy the game. This change opens up Foamstars to a broader community of players, inviting more to experience the foam-filled fun.
