"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has finally made its way to Android, offering a unique blend of elements that promise to keep players on their toes. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this game is available for $3.99 and introduces players to a walking simulator with a chilling twist, designed to make you question every step you take.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, you find yourself navigating through an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You're caught in a loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even the solitary man walking towards you repeat endlessly. The core challenge lies in identifying anomalies—perhaps a poster with a different image, flickering lights, or even a river of blood replacing the floor. The game's mechanic revolves around recognizing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

If you notice something unusual, you must turn back. If not, continue moving forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit flawlessly, which means correctly spotting and reacting to anomalies eight consecutive times. Fail to do so, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms, with settings modeled after actual Japanese metro stations like Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. The claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture encapsulate this influence perfectly. The Exit 8 encourages active engagement with your surroundings, urging you to scrutinize every detail for signs of danger or reality distortion. This constant questioning of your memory and perception ensures each playthrough feels unique.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took about nine months to develop. Upon its launch, it garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
