First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is slated for an eight-episode debut season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems the series will center around Dante, drawing inspiration from the events of the first three Devil May Cry games, though official connections to the game's storyline are yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.
The most recent entry in the Devil May Cry game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
