The curtain is falling on Revue Starlight Re LIVE. The mobile game, based on the popular anime series, will officially shut down its servers on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC. This marks the end of nearly six years on Android.
Reasons Behind the Shutdown
While a successful continuation of the Revue Starlight anime, the game's performance has been underwhelming over the past five and a half years. Players noticed declining quality, evidenced by repetitive events, reused assets, and excessively expensive battle passes. Storyline inconsistencies, such as the abrupt shift from The Giraffe character to a less compelling narrative, further contributed to the game's decline. The shutdown affects the global player base, including Japan.
Positive Aspects of the Game
Despite its shortcomings, Revue Starlight Re LIVE offered some positive elements. Its soundtrack, featuring numerous songs from the anime, was a highlight. Furthermore, the game boasted impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.

Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. Developers are launching several events in August and September to thank players.
