The announcement of the Chainsaw Man movie came in December 2023, marking it as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime series that debuted in 2022. The story follows Denji, a boy who gains a new lease on life after forming a pact with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. This alliance grants him the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws, propelling him from a mere boy to the formidable Chainsaw Man.
The upcoming film, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, will introduce viewers to the character Reze, a key figure from the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and penned by Hiroshi Seko, the movie brings back the entire voice cast from the anime to reprise their roles.
