Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered "barely alive" in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.

According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife Kim and other family members have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and bills while he is unable to work. The campaign page reveals that Wes is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.

Johnson had traveled to Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation on January 22. However, after checking into his hotel, he failed to appear at the event, prompting his wife Kim to try and contact him. When she couldn't reach him, hotel security was called to check on him. They found him unconscious and barely alive, with emergency medical technicians struggling to find a pulse.

The GoFundMe campaign initially aimed to raise $50,000, but thanks to the generosity of over 2,200 supporters, it has surpassed this goal, accumulating $144,791 so far. Beyond his work in video games, Johnson has been the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has also appeared in various film and television roles.

Johnson's contributions to Bethesda games are extensive. He most recently voiced Ron Hope in Starfield. His other notable roles include Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Mister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
