Ubisoft has released a new trailer showcasing the impressive PC features of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The trailer highlights support for cutting-edge upscaling technologies, ultra-wide monitor compatibility, real-time ray tracing effects (RTGI and RT Reflections), and extensive graphics settings for optimal performance on a wide range of PC hardware, including lower-spec systems.
At launch, Assassin's Creed Shadows will support DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ensuring visual fidelity and smooth frame rates across various GPUs. A built-in benchmark tool will allow players to easily test performance and confirm compatibility with their setup, especially for ultra-wide monitors.
Minimum specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8 GB) graphics card. For a stunning 4K 60 FPS experience at ultra settings with advanced ray tracing enabled, players will need an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, and a powerful RTX 4090 (24 GB) graphics card.
Ubisoft has partnered with Intel to optimize Assassin's Creed Shadows for their processors, promising strong performance. Post-launch performance analysis on AMD systems will be conducted. The developers aim to address past stuttering issues that plagued previous entries in the series; Mirage showed significant improvements in this area compared to Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, and fans are hopeful this trend continues.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches March 20th for PC and consoles.
