Alan Wake 2 Releases Free Anniversary Update TomorrowSignificant Update Broadens Accessibility Settings
Alan Wake 2 is poised to launch a substantial Anniversary Update tomorrow, October 22, as declared by developer Remedy Entertainment. "We can’t believe it’s been almost a year since Alan Wake 2 was released. Thank you to everyone who has played the game and become a part of our fanbase and the Remedy community, no matter when you joined us or how long you’ve been a fan," the Remedy stated in its blog post.Launching concurrently with The Lake House expansion tomorrow, Alan Wake 2's Anniversary Update will be completely free! The game incorporates enhanced accessibility settings such as unlimited ammo and instant kills. Furthermore, the option to reverse the game's horizontal axis settings, along with improvements to DualSense functionality on the PS5 are also being implemented, which will facilitate haptic feedback with healing items and throwable objects.
The major update also includes quality-of-life (QoL) enhancements frequently requested by fans. "Work on Alan Wake 2 has not ceased since release. We’ve been developing the two expansions, Night Springs and The Lake House, but we have also been collecting your feedback and implementing changes and improvements to the game based on that feedback," Remedy stated.
