MAME4droid 2024, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), is a port of the renowned MAME 0.270 emulator created by MAMEDev and contributors. This version of MAME4droid is optimized for high-end Android devices due to its foundation on the latest PC MAME version, which demands higher specifications than its predecessors. While it boasts compatibility with a vast array of games, users should temper their expectations, especially with "modern" arcade games from the 90s and beyond, as these may not run at full speed or with complete compatibility.
Given the extensive library of over 40,000 supported games and systems, performance can vary significantly from one title to another. Some games may run smoothly, while others might not run at all. Due to the sheer number of titles, individual game support inquiries cannot be addressed via email.
After installation, users should place their MAME-compatible zipped ROMs in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.seleuco.mame4d2024/files/roms folder. For alternative ROM storage options, please refer to the in-app help section.
**IMPORTANT NOTE:** This version of MAME4droid is compatible only with the '0.269' romset and not with romsets from older versions.
