Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While this news may or may not be surprising, the Japanese version will continue operation.
Two Months Remain
The game's shutdown is imminent. In-app purchases of premium currency and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Launched globally in June 2020, the game's four-year run is concluding. Despite impressive visuals, sound design, and a generous gacha system, Romancing SaGa Re:universe garnered mixed reception.
Unlike its highly popular Japanese counterpart, the global version experienced a more divisive player response. The omission of significant content updates, such as the Solistia region and 6-star unit upgrades (available in Japan for almost a year), contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the server closure.
