Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is coming to mobile later this year

by Hannah Apr 04,2025

Among the most eagerly awaited releases I covered last year, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage stands out as a sequel to the stylish and swashbuckling roguelike deckbuilder, Pirates Outlaws. The original game hit the scene when the genre was still fresh, and now, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is set to launch in Q3 of this year, promising to take players back to the high seas of New Elysia for another thrilling adventure.

In this eagerly awaited sequel, players can select from a variety of characters, each with seven distinct class options. This allows for deep customization of your deck, enhancing your strategic approach to battles. Additionally, you can recruit an animal companion, further adding to the tactical depth of your gameplay. With an enhanced turn-based combat system and the introduction of a new card evolution tree, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage equips you with a formidable arsenal to conquer the seas.

The game promises a significantly expanded experience, allowing players to explore back and forth across the map with a vast array of card and character combinations. For those on PC, an upcoming Steam demo will offer the first opportunity to dive into Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage.

While the reveal trailer's animations appeared somewhat static to me, I'm hopeful that the final release will feature more dynamic effects, enhancing the visual experience when it arrives on mobile later this year.
